Nejra Dedic is a Registered Psychotherapist who is passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She primarily works with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, and trauma, and is committed to fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and respect.
Nejra has experience supporting clients facing a range of concerns, including generalized anxiety, excessive worry, chronic stress, trauma and post-traumatic stress, life transitions, workplace stress, relationship challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She understands that each person’s journey is unique and works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, overcome barriers, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and is thoughtfully integrated with mindfulness-based interventions and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She tailors treatment to each individual’s goals and needs, helping clients develop practical coping strategies, challenge unhelpful patterns, process difficult experiences, and build greater resilience. Her approach is warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and focused on creating sustainable improvements in emotional well-being.
With a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, Nejra provides culturally responsive care and values creating an inclusive environment where clients from all backgrounds feel respected and understood. She is able to provide therapy in English, Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian, allowing clients to engage in therapy in the language they feel most comfortable using.
Nejra believes that seeking support is a courageous step and that healing happens through connection, self-compassion, and developing the right tools to navigate life’s challenges. She is committed to helping clients build confidence, foster resilience, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
