Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (Currently on maternity leave as of January 2020)
Deanna is a Naturopathic Doctor that takes pride in inspiring and motivating others to achieve their health goals. She is well versed in treating various ailments, but has a special interest in women’s health including hormone imbalances, menopause and fertility. Pain management, mood disorders, digestive concerns and weight management are also areas of focus for her. She has had success treating patients with fatigue, stress, irregular periods, hot flashes, PMS, back pain, anxiety, depression, constipation, diarrhea, IBS, IBD and obesity. She is proficient in acupuncture, herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling and has received extended training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Deanna is also a certified IV Therapist where she can assist with a variety of concerns to ensure that key nutrients are absorbed into the body.
Deanna was drawn to Naturopathic Medicine because it closely matched her philosophy of life: achieving an optimal level of wellness in daily living. On her spare time, Deanna enjoys dancing, cycling, running and yoga. Dancing is her avenue to express her creative side, biking and running maintains her overall level of fitness and yoga provides an opportunity for internal reflection.
Prior to completing her Doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Deanna completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science with specialization in Physiology at the University of Western Ontario.
Being a Naturopathic Doctor continues to be an educational journey that excites Deanna on a daily basis. She is passionate about educating and empowering others to improve their quality of life. She looks forward to the challenge of helping her patients overcome obstacles in achieving their life goals.
