Allergy, Sensitivity, Intolerance, Stressor, Trigger…

Allergies and Behavioral issues? You could have an Intolerance…

Allergy, Sensitivity, Intolerance, Stressor, Trigger. All of these words can be really confusing to figure out as they all tend to be used interchangeably. No matter what you call it – you don’t like the way you feel and you want a change!

In addition to nutritional counselling, my work includes Biofeedback Analysis (intolerance testing) and Natural Balance Therapy (BIE).  I use BIE to help many conditions including chronic migraines, digestive issues and skin rashes. Two of my favourite areas to work with are environmental/seasonal triggers and behavioral issues. I would like to address each of these as they are areas that have influenced my life greatly.

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you have more choices than you think. Options include:

  1. Taking supplements to help strengthen the body in hopes of preventing reactions (better for body, but may not ease all suffering).
  2. Taking medications regularly to suppress reactions (costly and hard on liver).
  3. Or get to the root causes, find all triggers, and promote balance/healing conditions  so the body can heal and then you won’t suffer!

Option 3 is where I come in. Most clients fall into a 3-6 visit range unless there are serious health issues. Occasional follow ups are recommended.

For those parents that struggle with behavioral issues – (BIE) is for you. Asperger’s, ASD, ADHD, ADD, whatever letter combo…it does not matter.  I can help!  I have years of experience in my own family, and I am proof that there are options other than medications.  Sometimes medications are needed, I will not argue that. But in my opinion they should never be the first choice. They should be the last.

It is very frustrating to see that most families are told from the beginning that their child needs medications. Some schools/teachers tell parents – “you should consider medication”. It was the first thing I  ever heard…”Your child is hyper…diet and lifestyle have no bearing..You should look into medication”.

I could go on forever, but perhaps that is another blog.

Overall treating behavioural issues can be quite simple:

  1. Adding natural supplements to support the body
  2. Find all possible triggers
  3. Promote balance and healing conditions in the body
  4. Assess and see if you still think meds are needed.

In summary BIE can be used for a variety of ailments including seasonal allergies and behavioural issues. If you would like more information I would be happy to sit down with you for a free-15 min consultation. You can also visit our website for more information.
